Inside this VoxBox I received
Secret Outlast Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant $4.59 You can find out more HERE.
"Leaves fewer white marks on clothes then the next leading invisible solid! And, with 48 hour odor and wetness protection at such a low price, why pay more?"
I tried to use gel deodorant as a teenager and ended up a sweaty stinktastic mess. Never again, I swore to myself, and I've kept that promise until now. I work in a deli/restaurant, and my boss doesn't believe in the air conditioner unless it's over 90 degrees outside, so it's ungodly hot in the store on a regular basis. I tested this out on one of those days where I knew the store would be horribly hot. I actually brought my regular deodorant with me because I thought for sure I would need it. At the end of my shift, not only did the Secret Outlast keep me dry but it still smelled just as lovely as it did when I put it on that morning. The awesomeness of a gel is that there are no white marks and you don't get any of the clumpiness that you do from a solid! Which, as someone who wears varying dark colored t-shirts, this is pretty fantastic. I've been convinced to switch from my solid deodorant!
NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm $2.99 You can find out more HERE.
"Delivers color, shine, ad moisture in one single swipe! The unique apple-shaped core is filled with Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, and Avocado Oil to give lips a healthy, irresistible look."
This is ADORABLE. It has this super cute little apple imprinted into the stick. It smells amazing. Like fruit punch added apple to it's fruit roster and slapped you in the face with it. I received "Big Apple Red" which is red with a peachy apple in the middle, after about 4 swipes it leaves a "I just ate a cherry popsicle" tint on my lips. On me it lasted a couple of hours, no more then 3 no less then 1, probably right around 2 1/2. It says it's a glossy lip balm, however I get no gloss shininess at all. Which is lovely. Totally not a huge gloss fan. I was in highschool though, just not now that I'm on the tail end of my 20's. This is a lovely product! You get .12 oz in a tube and just for compairison you get .15oz in a tube of Chapstick brand chapstick, and .08 oz in a Sugar Rose tinted lip treatment tube.
Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure $5.99-$7.99 you can find out more HERE.
"Features advanced nail technology, so you can get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds - simply peel off, press on, and you're done. There's no drying, a killer shine, and a manicure that lasts up to a week!"
This come ins an adorable little nail polish bottle package, I'm always intrigued by press on nails. Pre glued is a lovely option. These come with a little wet wipe type deal to prep your nails before hand, they also have clear tabs on the back that you just peel off and press onto your nails. Done. Super easy, super simple, minimal mess. There are 36 colors/patterns to choose from, although I couldn't find mine on the website.
I had thought about trying these at work because it would really put them through the ringer, however the chance of losing a nail in someone's food wouldn't be a good idea. I wore these on an average day which includes cleaning my house and doing several loads of dishes by hand and I only lost one nail at the end of the day when I was washing my hair. In all fairness this isn't the first time my hair has undone a wonderful day of testing a product. These were super easy to apply and I never felt like they were loose or wiggly. I'm not a huge fan of the pattern on these, Maybe not the pattern, it's more the colors, if it had been maybe blue and gold or any other combo besides red and gold really. I do like how the underside is colored though, pretty on trend and a nice touch. I wouldn't buy these, but only because I have long nails naturally. I did recommend them to my mom who spends a fortune in gel nails because she picks her natural nails. I wish some of the patterns came in the stick on nail polish though because there are a couple of them that are amazingly fantastic!
OSiS Dust It $23.50 You can find out more HERE. Although I had a hard time finding out anything about this really. The website was hard to navigate owing to the fact that many links weren't clickable for me, and the information I could get was pretty vague.
"Is a multi purpose mattifying powder that adds incredible root lift, texture, and control."
I'm so confused by this. Is it like a dry shampoo? Isn't shiny what we are all going for when it comes to hair? Why would I want to diminish that? The package does not explain anything to me really so I'll have to research this online some more. But I'm already cranky with it because I don't understand why or what I would use this for. So it's a styling product. I'm still confused by it. I tried it. The step by step photos say that you should sprinkle some in your hands and rub them together to "liquefy" the powder. I thought it would literally liquefy, but it didn't, all I managed to do was dust everything underneath my hands with powder leaving none in my palms. So I tried again, more gently, and it still didn't liquefy, bad choice of words yo, I mean if you rub an ice cube in your hands it liquefies, if I rub sand in my hands it exfoliates. If you rub powder in your hands and it doesn't turn into liquid, it doesn't liquefy. Just saying. Eventually I get some in my hair and OH MY GOD it's horrible. The girl in the photos has very short hair, which I'm assuming this is for. All it did to my hair is make it feel like I spent an evening rubbing it with a brush sideways and then alternating using hair spray and throwing baby powder in it. Rough, gross, and super damaged best describes the texture of my hair after using this. On the plus side, there wasn't any trace of powder clumps or whiteness in my hair or near my scalp. (Although I have platinum blonde hair so I'm not sure if I just couldn't see it) I do see how this would work nicely with short hair though. But not at all with my long hair. I'll pass.
Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes $4.49 per box You can find out more HERE.
"Are light and fluffy chocolate enrobed cakes with a delicious crème filling in a unique kandy bar shape. Available in S'mores, Peppermint, and Peanut Butter."
I just have to say first, I always giggle when something says enrobed with chocolate. It just seems like one of those phrases that's meant to make chocolate sound fancier then it really is. I mean come on, if you had "bitch slapped with chocolate" on your label people would still buy it, you know why? Because it has the word chocolate. Stop trying to be all fancy candy people. Well, I couldn't try this because, although it looked and by the description sounds super delicious, mine was expired by almost 2 weeks when I received it. So I couldn't bring myself to put it in my mouth. They only sell this in the south and east of us here in Minnesota, and their online store was down, so looks like I'll be waiting until I can actually buy this in my state to try it. I've been hearing a lot of buzz around TastyKake lately so I was really excited to see it in the box. But apparently we weren't meant to be together yet.
