I've been a devoted "well known brand name" fan ever since I had my daughter, gravity took it's natural course, and I went from a solid B cup to a large D cup in 9 months and just stayed that way.
It took me a couple days to actually try this bra on because it was so, for lack of a better word, grandma-ish. It's nude, lacy, and very full coverage. I find it interesting that its description specifically says "perfect for sexy, open necklines", if I wore a v neck t-shirt, the bra would show. .
I finally did try it and my first reaction was the material. It felt scratchy, stiff, and had very little stretch to it. I put it on, and was instantly amused at the pointy boob look this bra gave me, not something I'm normally going for in my everyday look. It felt thick and uncomfortable but I stuck it out for several hours. It did not get any better. I finally gave in and switched bras, it did make me super grateful for my everyday bras.
I feel like if I were used to full coverage and unpadded (I went up 2 cup sizes and had a baby, people, I need some lift in my bra!) bras it might have been better. I can't get over the material though, so scratchy! Also the look, it literally looks like one of my grandmother's bras from the 60's, and not in a cute vintagey type lingerie way.
Lets go through their 4 way support system together.
1. it's definitely got higher sides and secure coverage, I'm certain no boob could even attempt a break out from this bra. The woman in the promo photos has some lovely cleavage in her bra, my bra was like a prison for boobs, there was no cleavage for me. And I don't have small breasts, I never thought it would be possible to have D boobs and have no cleavage.
2. comfortable straps? No. The straps had very little give which is exceptionally uncomfortable for me, they were stiff and unyielding, which I suppose would reduce bounce but it didn't prevent digging. In fact it increased it for me. Personally, I prefer a little bit of natural movement, I need my support but a tiny bit of give makes everything look nicer.
3. the cups were accommodating, everything fit inside them, there wouldn't be any spillage ever, no way no how. Also, the cups are lined so that's nice.
4. It did have a wide smooth back that didn't ride up, so that was a wonderful part of the bra.
I wore this for several days, at home, in the hopes that it would soften up and maybe mold to my body a little. I do have to give it credit for holding it's shape. I've washed it about 4 times now and it's still just as stiff and scratchy. I'm never one to hand wash my bras, even though the label says so, I chuck mine in the washer, in a "delicates" bag, and call it a day. You would think of anything this method would help it get softer, but it's yet to give in. As for molding to my body a little, it hasn't done that either. It's still as pointy as it was the first day I tried it on.
Overall, I would not buy this bra, or wear it again. I feel like if you're used to and like full coverage bras, with no padding, and do not like your boobs moving in the slightest while you're wearing a bra then give this one a try.
It actually doesn't look too bad in the photos. But it covers way more then you would think and as you can kind of see, the cups are floppy and slightly pointed.
It's got a sturdy back, 3 clasps.
That's the accent design, I'm not quite sure what to call it. Like a lace design but not... It's the scratchy part though, the shiny cup and band are super silky, but it's the accent area that's stiff and scratchy.
